What is Large Timer?

Large Timer is a free and ad-free online timer created with the purpose of being simple, professional, and highly visible. It was created because my professors struggled to find a working timer that did not offer any distractions. This tool is ideal for classrooms, lecture halls, and any professional setting where a timer needs to stand out clearly.

One of the best features in Large Timer is the full-screen countdown timer. It fills the whole screen and is perfect for smartboards, projectors, or large displays. The bold, extra-large numbers are readable from far away, and this is great to make sure that all people in the room see the countdown. Great color contrast combined with light and dark modes makes it visible in any lighting conditions.

How to Use Large Timer

Using Large Timer is pretty easy. At the top of the page, there are three input boxes for setting the time. The first input box is for hours and allows values between 0 and 99. The second and third boxes are for minutes and seconds, respectively, and accept values between 0 and 59. After setting the desired time, clicking the "Set Time" button updates the timer.

This display is designed for clarity: big, bold numbers that can be seen from across the room. To start or pause the timer, scroll down and click the "Start" button below the display. If you need to reset the timer to its original setting, use the "Reset" button.

Additional features include the ability to toggle dark mode on and off, which adjusts the display to match your environment. An optional alarm function can be enabled or disabled at any time without interrupting the countdown. To preview the alarm sound, the “Test Alarm” button can be used. The full-screen countdown timer makes it easy to focus on the timer itself, free from unnecessary distractions.
